Statistical Investigations

 We have been learning about statistics and carrying out our own investigations.  First we had to come up with a question that was relevant to the class.  Next we surveyed the whole class by asking them our questions.  Then we put the information we collected on to tally charts.  After that we created  graphs using the Numbers programme on the computer.  Finally we discussed and shared the information on our graphs.  We discovered a lot of new things about each other.  Here are some bar and pie graphs we created.

Study ladder Certificates

We have been practising hard on Study ladder.

Our Co-operative Quilt.

One of the first activities we completed this year was this colourful quilt.  We worked together in groups to create small squares that were combined to make the larger quilt.  Each one of us had to:
• Listen to others
• Do our special job
• Support and encourage others
• Offer ideas
Some groups managed this well and other groups struggled because not all the members were co-operating.  We now know in order to work together successfully, we need to co-operate and act as a team.
